The Dulwich and District Twins Club is a support group run and funded by parents of twins and triplets across South East London. We have 150 members enjoying club benefits such as:
- expectant parent talks
- nearly new sales
- buddy schemes
- a regular baby & toddler playgroup
- park & cafe meet ups
- summer & Christmas parties
- continuous communication and advice via our newsletters, this website and our email network.
Finding out that you are expecting more than one is a moment of tremendous joy, usually tinged with a degree of bewilderment. Meeting other expectant parents and parents of multiples can not only allay your fears but also provide a vital support network. All our members understand the highs and lows and the challenges amongst the great joys of expecting and having multiples. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.
So what have we been doing recently?
The club held its annual Christmas Party complete with Father Christmas, crafts, entertainer and very well endowed Christmas raffle much enjoyed by all.
We continued our Lottery-funded series of talks given to parents of multiples by professionals on parenting identical twins, weaning and healthy eating.
The final session in the current series of talks for expectant parents was the perfect opportunity to launch our new guide for expectant parents. Completing the guide was a year-long project also funded by our Award for All grant which resulted in a 32-page booklet packed full of stories and tips for new twin and triplet parents or parents-to-be. Our objective was to provide a pack full of local information for new parents of multiples including how and where to get support in South East London. You can also access the information on our website. The guide will be distributed as additional information at King’s College Hospital’s parenting workshops for multiples.
Our website now shows all club events in the calendar section and joining couldn’t be easier with the new online option of Paypal.
