The Friday meet-ups continue throughout the Winter from late October to the end of March, on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, We’ve finally found a venue for the Friday winter meet-ups that’s suitable for both toddlers and babies. The Clock House pub opens at midday, and is right next to the common, so we will meet from 11am for the little ones to have a runaround before lunch. It’s spacious but well-contained, quiet (apart from the noise we create!), has welcoming staff, and offers tasty, kid-friendly and tolerably-priced food. There’s room for buggies and a wide entrance so it’s fine for babies too, and has a few high-chairs (although it would be helpful to bring fabric chair-harnesses if you have them).
So Friday meets are now:
- from 11am-12pm on Peckham Rye common (near the One’O'Clock club playground) for running around / walking with buggies.
- then from 12pm at The Clock House pub (where Barry Rd meets Peckham Rye), for lunch and play until approx 1.30pm.
