We have been successful in our bid for an Award for All grant for the Club. We have been awarded over £6,000 for two projects:
Twin Talks: a series of six talks to be held on Saturdays. Topics will be presented by experts, a fully staffed crèche plus refreshments will be provided and the events will be aimed at attracting dads and/or parents who work during the week as well as mums, grandparents and other carers of twins. The programme will run over a year and we have a grant of over £4,000 to cover all costs.
Expectant Parents Pack: we have a grant of just under £2,000 to write, design, print and advertise a pack of information to give to parents/grandparents expecting twins or higher multiples. We also have funding for venue, transport and refreshment costs for expectant parents evenings and for translation costs.
Two project groups are forming to plan and deliver each project. If you would like to volunteer to be on one of the project groups (there is no need to become a committee member) or simply want to find out more about the grants and other ways you can contribute, please contact our project leads:

It is envisaged that each project team would meet up to six times during 2011 and we are keen to try and have our first meeting before the end of the year. Meetings will be short, fun and informal and the experience will be a great CV booster as well as contributing to this exciting new phase for the Dulwich and District Twins Club.
